Social Computing Lab

SoCom(Social Computing) Lab focuses on uncovering and interpreting nonlinear dynamics in complex systems in the real world, such as an event or information diffusion through online social media, infectious disease spread via domestic or international visitors and interdisciplinary knowledge transfer across diverse scholarly fields, based upon a wide spectrum of approaches in data and network sciences. Relevant topics include the followings but are not limited to:

• Modeling stochastic processes in the real world 

• Predicting popularity dynamics

• Clustering dynamic social and information networks

• Simulations of time series data

• Spatio-temporal data analytics and visualization

• Measuring predictability of information
